Kamran is a seasoned investment professional who brings over 20 years of experience in corporate strategy and financial advisory. His experience encompasses private equity and venture capital investments across the Energy, Commodities, early-stage Technology, Automotive and Infrastructure sectors. Most recently as Founder and Managing Director of Prosperitus Partners, a boutique financial advisory firm based in London, Kamran has been advising family offices on private markets investments and in many cases assisting them with the roll out of internal/captive ventures. In 2022 Kamran was part of the founding team behind Waseeya, a B2C legal tech firm based in the UK focusing on digital footprint and legacy management. Prior to co-founding Waseeya, Kamran held the role of Strategy and Investment Director for Expand Energy Corp based in Dubai and Abuja, an energy infrastructure company focused on midstream Oil & Gas sector opportunities in Nigeria. Prior to this role, Kamran held the role of Managing Director for Investments at Millennium Investment Holdings Limited in Dubai, an international corporate holding company where he oversaw operations and restructuring of portfolio companies across the energy, telecommunications and automotive sectors as well as investment appraisals for new projects.
From 2008 to 2015 Kamran worked on various financial advisory and capital raising mandates for greenfield energy, industrial and commodities sector projects. Prior to 2008 Kamran worked at Goldman Sachs in London most latterly within the European Equities division (Corporate Access Team), prior to which he worked within the bank’s Prime Brokerage Trade Management Group. Kamran started his career at UBS Investment Bank’s award-winning Equity Research division in London (Infrastructure and Transport Research Team – number one ranked at the time) where he carried out research on the impact of China’s accession to the WTO on global manufacturing relocation and the valuations of major shipping lines operating transpacific shipping routes.
Kamran holds a joint BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance from University College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Kamran’s earlier education was in the United States where he attended Winston Churchill High School in Bethesda, Maryland following on from which he attended The Latymer School in London. Kamran also holds a certificate in Blockchain Technologies from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and has initiated studies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Le Wagon in London. Kamran also holds Level III certificates in derivatives, capital markets and financial regulations from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
Kamran is based in Hertfordshire, England where he lives with his partner and their baby daughter. Kamran is an avid fan of Formula 1 motorsports (team McLaren), UEFA Champions League Football (team Arsenal) and the FIFA World Cup (team England). His interests include geopolitics, military strategy, exotic cars, aviation, architecture and history.
